After graduating from a conservative Christian college, being at a huge public school is definitely a change in culture. I went to a public high school, so it's not like I've never been exposed to this kind of thing. However, there are still things I'm surprised about during my time on campus.
1. People kissing on campus - I'm always like ...where's the RA!
2. Sweatpants and running shorts to class -
3. Profs who randomly interject profanity into lectures
4. Profs with political rants
5. No prayer before lecture -- I didn't realize how much I appreciated this part of my day at CU
6. Sorority/Frat Houses
7. No Parking -- ok this isn't specific to public/private schools....but still annoying!
8. No daily chapel -- I actually really miss chapel. I've listened to the speakers online a few times to get my chapel fix.
9. Religious Diversity
10. Lots of international students - I like diversity.
I'm getting really swamped with homework this week. More posts on faith when I get some time.
