This is the Thing.

I like asking hard questions. But I don't like it so much when people ask me. How should I as a Christian biologist respond to evolution? How should I as a Christian approach the question of immigration? What about origins? How much money should I be spending on myself? How much should I be concerned about my own personal comfort and safety when choosing where to live? These are just a few of the hard questions that I have been bombarded with in the last week! Asking these hard questions and thinking about them properly is important because what I believe will affect how I live. Living biblically requires thought and time and a deep commitment to the Word of God. So where am I now? I'm at a place where there are questions that demand answers and I just don't have time to invest into finding those answers. And maybe that's the problem in itself.  What am I filling my time with that is more important than living faithfully to the Word of God? So this is where I am. These are the questions.

  1. It's more important to be authentic than have all the right answers and please all people, Christians and non-Christians alike. Press on!

  2. the answer is love.

That is not always easy to find the application in every situation. But I think it helps to view the world though the knowledge that God loves you, and you are commanded to love others. Nothing else really matters much.

  3. Good Morning! As I read your blog this a.m. I thought of the scripture found 2 Tim 2:15"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. All else evolution, creation, money spent, money withheld, go or stay, yes or no ...are but the choices given in day for us to choose ..His Ways or our ways: His thoughts or our thoughts: God's Wisdom or Man's wisdom....I being one to stress easily over the " did I do it all right" has learned and continue to learn if I would but start my day in His presence whatever decision, choice I have been given in that appointed day...I will make the right decision or choice: When it is about HIM over SELF! I enjoyed your post and it reminded me of me...so clearly! Wednesday Blessings to you!
