Run & Work

Basically the coolest time of the day in Naples Florida during the summer is any time between 1am and 7am. Therefore, this morning I woke up bright and early at 6:01 am to run. I upped my mileage (and had to modify my route) to 4 miles /day for the next two weeks. The only thing about waking up so early is that it's only 8:15...and I'm ready to go to bed...ohh well.
I went to my second official day of work today and honestly...its so much fun! The front desk is sheer craziness. Today the walkie-talkies kept going out, so I did a lot of running to the gym to get kids that needed to check out. I think I'm starting to finally get the hang of things- paging kids, looking up members, doing attendance. It's fun stuff.

Also, I joined a free-cycle group and got my first free ---a bag of mangos from someone who had way too many. It's awesome, people post things they no longer need/want and I receive and email and can arrange to pick it up. I made a delicious mango-banana smoothie...mmm.

Oh and book recommendation!

New York Trilogy by Paul Auster-- it's awesome! I still have to finish the last one...its three shorter stories...but they're all part of one book/theme. I would definitely recommend it. I guess I would describe it as a postmodern mystery? .... Just read it.
