So today I once again battled the dreaded cold. I actually made it to breakfast which was good news. In politics we mostly talked about the election and what direction we thought Obama would take within the first few months of his presidency. Most of us agreed that he would first tackle and economy and would probably start with more moderate policies and eventually set in place his more liberal policies. Of course it's all just speculation so who knows what will happen. We had class chapel today (we are split up into our classes so freshman were in the gym.) Leif, our class Chaplin spoke about doubt. The music was really good too! In speech we had to give improv. speech and the topic I choose randomly from the basket was SNOW! so appropriate. Luckily I got a speech topic that was actually exciting. We just had 2 minutes to think of a 1-2 minute speech. In MOMM we did the intro the the Renaissance. I can already tell that this weekend is going to be extremely chill. Everyone I know (I can think of 11 people right of the top of my head) who I hang out with, well they all decided to go out of town on the SAME weekend. It actually works out pretty well though because now I can stay here and rest without worrying about missing out on anything b/c I'm sick. Today after class I slept for about 4 hours, I still wasn't feeling well. Apparently Ali tried to wake me up 3x to go to dinner but I was dead asleep. When I finally woke up around 8ish Chucks was closed so I went down to the Hive and got a transfer meal and read for about an hour and a half. When I got back to my room Ali and I decided to walk over to Losers (the convenience store across the street who's real name is winners) and got some Swedish fish! Luckily Ali is here tonight but tomorrow even she will be gone!
